Since its inception in 1973, Domtech has continued to grow. The physical plant was significantly expanded and a plastic compounding operation was added in the early 1980's. Production capacity was further expanded in 1994 and 1999. In 2004, a 60,000 sq. ft. expansion was completed bringing the current plant size to 125,000 sq. ft. Today process improvements continue to increase overall capacity.

Domtech has enjoyed remarkable success in recent years employing strategies of product line rationalization and U.S. market penetration. Dedication to customer service, management of customer concentration, manufacturing efficiencies from a focused product line offering, and a lean, effective overhead cost structure ensure continuing success.

Domtech's mission is to "provide our North American customers with the Best Value products". "Best Value" is a function of Quality, Service, and Price attributes that combine to exceed customer expectations. Driven by a quality management system registered to ISO 9001-2000, Domtech continuously strives to strengthen its "best value" equation with product and operational improvements.

Domtech's major Electrical Wire and Cable product lines are PVC Power Cordage (SJT, SPT types), Equipment Hook-Up Wire, Thermostat, Fire Alarm, Submersible Pump, Trailer, Traffic Signal, Speaker, and Communication wire. The company is a highly integrated yet flexible manufacturer that draws and strands copper wire, produces flexible PVC compounds for internal consumption and utilizes PVC, PP, PE, TPE and EVA to insulate and jacket bare and coated copper wire.

Domtech manufactures it's products to Canadian Standards Association and Underwriters Laboratory certification standards as required. Domtech also manufactures to standards such as IMSA, MTO, ASTM, SAE and others. Domtech has C.S.A. Model certified laboratory and personnel that allow the company to perform product testing for requirements outlined in the C.S.A. General Standards Manuals, where capability exists. This certification allows Domtech to react quickly to customer requirements for new approvals on new or existing products.
